Billionaire and “King of Instagram” Dan Bilzerian may play the most expensive heads-up game in poker history – a $50,000,000 buy-in match. Dan announced this the other day on the Impaulsive podcast. Like the popular Dan Bilzerian, you too can make a fortune in poker or sports betting. The bookmaker 1win will help you do just that.
The story began after the release of Bilzerian’s autobiography, where he talked about his multi-million dollar poker winnings. Dan first mentioned the name of his opponent who left him a fortune – Alex Gors, an Israeli billionaire.
According to unconfirmed reports, Gors was disappointed that Dan revealed his name in the book and mentioned it on the podcast afterward. This prompted the “King of Instagram” to challenge his opponent again for a new heads-up bout.
“This guy watched my podcast and texted me that I beat him by $40-50 million and said it wasn’t much. Then he offered to play heads-up at $25,000,000,” Dan commented.
Dan first agreed to play $25 million at Aria Casino, but then decided to raise the stakes – to $50,000,000, stating that he had no intention of playing any cheaper:
“I will transfer $50,000,000,000 to Aria in 10 days. If you want to play, do the same. We can televise it if you want,” is how the correspondence with Gorse was relayed.
According to PokerNews, their sources revealed that Dan has transferred his cut and is now waiting for his opponent to accept the bet. Based on Bilzerian’s reports, we’re probably not talking about a cash game, but a SnG hand that could be the biggest in poker history.
“The Corporation,” “Molly’s Games” and lost millions – what is Alex Gorse known for
Alex Gores is a billionaire from Israel who made his fortune from buying out tech firms and investment firm The Gores Group. He is rumored to have participated in “Molly’s Games” and won over $50,000,000 from Andy Bill, who famously went up against “The Corporation.”
As Dan describes in his book, Gorse invited him to his home to play cash on $2,000/$4,000 limits, which soon grew to $10,000/$25,000. Bilzerian claims to have won more than $9,000,000 when Alex offered a series of $1,000,000 flips. So, over several sessions, Dan claims he won over $40,000,000.
Dan will prove he wasn’t lying.
Obviously, for the most expensive heads-up, the only thing left to do is wait for Alex to transfer his portion of the buy-in. Exact dates and details have not been disclosed, but in all likelihood it will take place before the end of the year.
With this match, Dan doesn’t just want to win money — he’ll prove that he hasn’t been lying all along when he talks about the millions he’s made in poker:
“This is going to be the biggest poker game in history. And the beauty of it is that it’s going to shut everyone up who’s been talking about how you can’t win that much money in poker,” Dan comments.
The billionaire isn’t opposed to the match taking place on PokerGO on a pay-per-view basis. If the match does take place, Bilzerian will go down in history as the most expensive heads-up in poker history.
